December 2007 – Control Point awarded Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status

Control Point have been recognised by Microsoft as providing technological excellence and impact for customers through using Microsoft products and just been upgraded to Gold Certified Partner status.

Coming in November 2007 – eBay and Amazon Automated Integration

This functionality will be completed in early November and will enable Control Point users to upload products in the very specific and correct formats to eBay and Amazon and to automatically download orders from these major selling channels. Once downloaded, Control Point will automatically process these orders, adjusting stock and ready for despatch. Other new functionality to be completed and delivered in November 2007 will be:

Capability of direct linking Purchase Orders to suppliers databases and systems
Enhanced quotation system – here you will be able to very easily and quickly put together a quotation complete with descriptions, prices and product images for a customer which can be instantly emailed to them in an attractive PDF format. The quotation can be saved and later automatically converted into an order
Enhanced warehouse management system including dynamic bin allocation.

October 2007 – Parcel Force Automated Integration – Parcel Force Automated Integration

This functionality completely automates your carriage requirements with the Parcel Force systems. The upshot of this is that manifests are sent electronically, tracking numbers automatically imported into Control Point against each order and automatic postage calculation.

October 2007 – Intelligent Bar Code Scanner Capability

This very powerful system will enable your warehouse and picking and packing staff to instantly find the right product, colour, size etc and quantity for every item that they have to pick. Using the remote bar code scanner, the system will tell your staff which is the right product and the quantities to be picked so that it minimises the risk of the wrong goods being sent and all the dissatisfaction and postage costs that this involves.

October 2007 – Multi Company, Multi Catalogue and Multi Website Functionality Added

For businesses where you have more than one website or company, Control Point now has full functionality for providing you with a complete one system solution that is completely integrated with an intelligent number of options on how we configure the set up to match your individual company’s requirements.

September 2007 – Multiple Company Contacts

For our business to business customers, this has been an important enhancement which enables them to have multiple contacts with their business based customers and to be able to despatch goods and orders to many company depots.

September 2007 – Full Remote Access

This functionality has now been fully tested and used on a live basis by a number of our customers. This is an essential facility for customers who are operating from several sites or where they want access to Control Point while on the move. This means that you can access Control Point from anywhere in the world via a secure link.

August 2007 – Increase in the Control Point Development Team

So that we can actively manage the development programme that we have and continue to carry out installations of Control Point at the rate of one to two installations per week the size of the team has been substantially increased to nine full time permanent highly skilled Developers.

August 2007 – Fully Managed Control Point Hosting Service

For Control Point customers who want a complete hosted, internet based order processing, stock control and warehouse management system where it is actively managed by us this is the service for your business.

July 2007 – Unlimited Multiple Delivery Addresses Added

This feature is particularly relevant for Hamper and promotional product companies where they have an order from a single customer but with the products to be sent to many different addresses. The system is so flexible that you can still vary what is delivered to each individual address and to do so very quickly and easily.

June 2007 – Price Breaks Facilities Added

Control Point now has the full capability of adding price breaks to individual products. This enables our customers to be able to handle quantity based discounts automatically to a product or group of products.
